The Democrats of the House of Representatives of Texas remain outside the State as the redistribution of districts continues in the second week

The battle for the possible redistribution of districts of the middle decade in Texas, where the lines of the District of the State Congress could be redesigned very much ahead of the next census, continued on Monday while dozens of Democrats from the House of Representatives of Texas remained out of the State for a second week to block any possible vote on the map.

In Austin, the Texas Representatives Chamber is scheduled to meet and the District Redistribution Law is technically scheduled for a second reading (which would not be a vote to approve the camera). But this cannot happen without a present quorum; Republican legislators can try another call vote to see if they still don’t have a quorum.

The Texas Senate is also scheduled to meet and can vote on its own version of the districts redistribution legislation, although if you vote the Senate bill, you cannot vote in the camera until there is a quorum.

Texas Greg Abbott governor and Attorney General Ken Paxton, separately, intensified legal efforts last week to take Texas to Texas or investigate who is financing their efforts.

Abbott has also said that he will call a special legislative session after a special session to approve the Maps of the Republicans, even if the Democrats run out of the 30 -day clock in the current session.

“I am authorized to call a special session every 30 days. It lasts 30 days, and as soon as this ends, I will call another, then another, then another, then another. If they are shown in the state of Texas, they will be arrested and taken to the Capitol,” he told Fox News in an interview on Sunday.

“If you want to evade that arrest, they will remain out of the state of Texas for literally years, and they could also begin to vote in California or vote in Illinois, wherever they are,” he continued.

But the Democrats also go to the offensive. Eric Holder, former attorney general and current president of the National Committee of Democratic Redistories, will talk about the redistribution of districts with the Democrats of the United States Representatives Chamber on Wednesday.

In California, legislators have said they expect to present new maps of the Congress proposed this week that would possibly face voters for approval in a special election in November. But executing a state election with relatively little notification will be a challenge, said the office of the Secretary of State.

On Monday, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, sent a letter to Trump saying that he would launch his potential plans if other states did the same.

“You are playing with fire, risking the destabilization of our democracy, while you know that California can neutralize any gain you expect to obtain,” Newsom wrote. Separately, the governors in Florida, Indiana and Missouri have indicated interest in the possible redistribution of medium decade districts.

Some of the Democrats from the Texas House of Representatives who have broken the quorum will appear in Pressers in Illinois on Monday exciting the continuous efforts to re -draw the maps.

During an interview with NBC News on Sunday, the governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, was proud to accommodate Texas Democrats, calling President Donald Trump a “cheater.”

“[Republicans] Know that they will lose in 2026, Congress, so they are trying to steal seats, and that is what these Texas Democrats are trying to face and then do not forget it. The map they gathered, violates the Voting Rights Law and violates the Constitution, “said Pritzker.
