Extreme Heat Lucting Northeast, West: The latest on scoring temperatures

The extreme heat is reaching both coasts, bringing dangerously high temperatures to the northeast, northwest and southwest.

In the northeast, the heat notices for parts of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and the state of New York are instead.

Augusta, Maine, reached a daily temperature of 98 degrees on Monday.

The maximum records of daily records in the mid -90s are possible on Tuesday from Caribou, Maine, to Burlington, Vermont and Manchester, New Hampshire, to Syracuse, New York.

New England will cool on Thursday and Friday before another heat round over the average returns to the northeast this weekend.

West also faces extreme heat.

In the northwest, Roseburg, Oregon, reached a daily temperature of 105 degrees on Monday.

On Tuesday, a record temperature is possible in Medford, Oregon, and it is forecast that Portland reaches between 97 and 105 degrees.

In the southwest, Las Vegas could reach 110 degrees and on Tuesday a record temperature is possible in reindeer, snowfall.

Death Valley, California, could about 121 degrees on Tuesday, while Phoenix could reach 112 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This large excessive heat area in the West will reach the east, bringing maximums in the mid -90s to Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday, and then reaching the northeast during the weekend.
