President Donald Trump isn’t just redoing the East Wing of the White House. On Friday, he showed off a completely renovated Lincoln bathroom on his social media platform.
“I renovated the Lincoln bathroom in the White House,” Trump wrote on Truth Social along with before and after photos. “It was renovated in the 1940s in a green tile art deco style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln era.”
He continued, “I made it in black and white polished statuary marble. This was very appropriate for Abraham Lincoln’s time and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!”

In a new post on Truth Social, President Trump shared photos of the renovation he did to the Lincoln Dorm bathroom, which is now all marble.

Trump sparked controversy this month by tearing down the East Wing of the White House as part of the construction project to build his new $300 million, 90,000-square-foot ballroom. The cost is being covered by private donors.
However, most Americans oppose demolition to make way for Trump’s ballroom, according to a ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos Poll conducted using the Ipsos KnowledgePanel.
A 56% majority of Americans oppose the decision, including 45% who “strongly” oppose it, according to the poll. Only 28% of Americans support it, and 15% strongly support tearing down the East Wing to turn it into a ballroom, according to the poll.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
